Active Duty Military Pay

Raises

Annual

Jan. 1 of every year, servicemembers receive a pay increase to reflect the wage increases in the civilian workforce. In 1999, federal legislation mandated that military pay be capped at 0.5% above wages in the private sector. On Jan. 1, 2007, servicemembers received a 2.2% pay raise.
