Eligibility
Tuition Assistance is available to:
- Active duty enlisted servicemembers
- Naval officers
- Naval reservists on continuous active duty
- Enlisted naval reservists ordered to active duty for 120 days

Naval reservist officers ordered to active duty for 2 years or more
Tuition Assistance cannot be used by the following servicemembers:
- Naval reservists not on continuous active duty
- Naval reservists ordered to active duty for less than 120 days
- Naval reservist officers ordered to active duty for less than 2 years

Those in a duty-under-instruction status or in an officer accession program
To be eligible for Tuition Assistance, you must:
- Be on active duty for the entire length of the course
- Attend an institution accredited by an agency approved by the Department of Education

Go through educational counseling from a Navy College Office

Apply
Follow these two steps to apply for Navy Tuition Assistance:

Contact your local Navy College Office for educational counseling. You can receive counseling by phone, in person or via email. You can find a counseling office at the Navy College Office website.

Download and complete the Navy Tuition Assistance Application (NETPDTC 1560). Make sure you get a command approval signature on the application. Return the application to your Navy College Office for processing.
