How It Works

Before you separate from the service, make additional contributions of $20–$600 to your MGIB-AD program through Buy-Up. The amount that you contribute determines how much your monthly MGIB-AD benefits increase. Use this formula to figure out how much your monthly benefit will rise.

For Example

If you contribute $100 to your MGIB-AD program through Buy-Up, your monthly MGIB-AD benefit will increase by $25.

     months) 

If you contribute $500 to your MGIB-AD program through Buy-Up, your monthly MGIB-AD benefit will increase by $125.
