Eligibility

  1. Citizen

    Be a United States citizen.

  2. Age

    Be under age 31 on Dec. 31 of the year you will graduate and earn your commission.

  3. Time-In-Service

    Have between one and six years Time-In-Service.

  4. Time-In-Station

    Have at least one year Time-On-Station.

  5. Recommended

    Be recommended by your immediate commander.

  6. Grade Point Average or Test Score

    Have at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point (GPA) average if you've earned at least 24 semester hours. If you haven’t earned 24 semester hours, you must have an ACT score of 24 or higher, or a verbal and math SAT score of 1100 or higher.

  7. Air Force ROTC

    Be admitted to a school offering Air Force ROTC and the academic major you wish to study.

  8. Air Force Officer Qualifying Test

    Earn Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) scores of 15 or more on the Verbal scale and 10 or more on the Quantitative scale.

  9. Commissioning Requirements

    Meet all the requirements for commissioning.

  10. ROTC Physical Fitness Test

    Pass the Air Force ROTC Physical Fitness Test.

  11. Overseas Retain-Ability

    Meet the requirement for overseas retain-ability.
