Airmen Education and Commissioning Program
The Airmen Education and Commissioning Program (AECP) provides airmen with the opportunity to remain on active duty and continue to receive income while pursuing their bachelor’s degree as an Air Force ROTC cadet. After they graduate, cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants.
The Air Force selects specific airmen to receive this benefit. The Air Force pays 100% of the cadet’s tuition. Cadets attend school year-round. This program is open only to people majoring in specific areas. Cadets graduate with a four-year service commitment.
