Programs for Active Duty Servicemembers

Air Force Tuition Assistance (TA)
Receive up to $4,500 annually to help pay for college.

Air Force Educational Leave of Absence (ELA or AFELA)
Attend college full time for up to two years while remaining on active duty and continue to receive pay.

College Loan Repayment Program (CLRP)
The Air Force will pay back up to $10,000 of your outstanding college loans after you enlist.

Scholarships for Outstanding Airmen to ROTC (SOAR)
Earn a commission while completing your bachelor’s degree as an Air Force ROTC cadet, and recive Air Force funding for your degree.

Airmen Education and Commissioning Program (AECP)
Remain on active duty and continue to receive income while pursuing your bachelor’s degree as an Air Force ROTC cadet.
