I can't yet, since my wife has not deployed, but she might spend some time in a sandy area later this year. My wife hasn't had to put up with many of those questions, since I've never been out to sea for longer than a month, and never more than 500 miles offshore. Claire,

Saying thank you to Service Members and their families has always been a normal thing to do in my family. Crawfish, You have a great idea! I definitely would like to hear more from the male spouses of deployed military members. I could only hope and pray that the insensitive questions would stop, but unfortunately you may have quite an article to write after you your wife have experienced deployment from your respective positions. I hope you are able and wiling to share from your perspective and experience. I think that there are a lot of military husbands who could benefit from hearing it!
