Transitional Assistance Management Program

Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) assists servicemembers in maintaining TRICARE health care coverage until nonservice related options take effect after transition back to reservist status. Servicemembers, their families and eligible dependents may receive TAMP for up to 180 days.

To be eligible for TAMP, servicemembers must fall under one of four categories:

If you lose all TRICARE eligibility, you may still be eligible for the Continued Health Care Benefit Program (CHCBP). Though not part of TRICARE, this program offers similar benefits. Humana Military Healthcare Services manages the program, and you must enroll within 60 days of separation from active duty.
