Parents Dependency and Indemnity Compensation

Eligibility

• Your annual income must be less than the annual income limits.
• You must be a biological, adoptive or foster parent of a veteran who died from either:
  • a disease or injury occurred while on active duty or training for active duty.
  • an injury that occurred in the line of duty while on inactive duty for training.
  • a service-connected disability.
