While the Veteran Medical Benefits Package is fairly inclusive, it does not cover these services:
- Hospital and outpatient care for Veterans under the care of another government institution
- Abortions
- Medications and medical devices not approved by the Food and Drug Administration
- Sex-change operations
- Health club memberships
- In vitro fertilization
