Veterans Medical Benefits Package

Veterans can apply for the Veterans Medical Benefits Package at their nearest VA facility using VA Form 10-10EZ. The package may be used at any medical treatment facility or sponsored clinic in the VA system. Eligibility may change from year to year because financial restraints may result in the VA not covering certain conditions for certain eligibility groups. After you apply for the package, you will never need to reapply.

Some veterans are automatically eligible for VA health care benefits. If you fall into one of the following categories, you are not required to apply.

• You only use VA care for a service-connected disability.

• You have been discharged from the armed services for less than 12 months for a service-connected disability and do not yet have a VA disability rating.

• You have a VA disability rating of 50% or higher.
