Veterans Disability Benefits

Pension

If you are a wartime veteran older than 65, are no longer able to work, and are living on limited income, you may qualify for the Veterans Disability Pension.

How It Works

If your annual income is less than one of these the limits set by the VA, you qualify:

If you qualify, the VA may pay the difference between the above limit and your annual income.

Example: You Have no Dependents

For this example, assume your annual income is $8,000. You would receive $2,929 each year, the difference between $8,000 and VA annual income limit of $10,929.

    $10,929 (income limit)
-  $8,000 (your annual income)
$2,929 (amount you will recieve annually)

The VA breaks up the benefit into 12 monthly installments. So you would receive $244.08 each month.
